A new highways contract is set to get under way in October 2025,  to improve road maintenance and infrastructure in Hertfordshire.

After the MAY local elections, a raft of new councillors will be taking their seats in council chambers across the county. Many will have dreams of rejuvenating town centres, and ‘delivering’ for residents - if their pre-election leaflets are anything to go by.

Three-quarters of your council tax money is spent on social care and children’s care. Next council year, £478 million will be spent on adult care across Hertfordshire and £257 million will be spent on children’s care.

Hertfordshire County Council councillors have approved a motion on the 15th January to purchase New offices in Hemel Hempsted for a multi million pound deal and at the same meeting they were presented with budget plans that will require £42m of savings.
