Nigel Farage 'not fit' to be Prime Minister says Watford MP

Knowing when the time is up and you and your party are descending into the political black hole of your own making,  the only thing left is to play the man - not the ball.

Nigel Farage has spent his political life saying and doing as he liked, dining out for free on the Great British taxpayer for years.

His work and public service ethic was exposed years ago. As an MEP he had almost the worst voting record of all – not a man who’d do the hard yards as Prime Minister. He was the UKIP leader who told you to back Brexit and ‘take back control’. Leaving the EU would magically reduce immigration. But the reverse is true and worse than that, the referendum made returning illegal migrants to their home countries even more difficult.

Farage leads just five MPs in Westminster, with another two suspended under investigation.

Being in Parliament cannot be his top priority because he rakes in £1million in outside earnings with a multitude of other jobs, so where do the interests of the privileged former City of London commodities broker really lie?

He’s going to be held to account for the things he says and does. Keir Starmer laid in to him good and proper in Liverpool this week where I was also attending the Labour Party Conference.

It is wrong for Reform to advocate a policy which retrospectively kicks people out of this country when they’ve been granted the right to stay here, working and paying taxes. Are you affected? How many of your friends, neighbours, or family will be affected?

Those who have no right to be here should be deported and the Government has done just that to over 35,000 people since the election. Contrary to what Reform claims, Labour doesn’t back open borders. That’s why we’ve introduced new tougher measures to protect them with more to come.
