Herts County Council – which set up the scheme – admitted it has not recorded any complaints from residents, following a Freedom of Information request from the Comet.

The Comet had asked how many complaints were received from residents in North Herts and Stevenage, as well as countywide, since the policy was implemented earlier this year. We also wanted to know how many of those related to concerns over criminal activity and safety.

But HCC has been forced to admit that it doesn’t hold any of that data on file, whether people have phoned, sent in letters, or emailed.
