Three-quarters of your council tax money is spent on social care and children’s care. Next council year, £478 million will be spent on adult care across Hertfordshire and £257 million will be spent on children’s care.
There are over 10,000 children with special education needs and a further 1,000 are in the county council’s care at any one time.
This level of spending is driving Hertfordshire County Council towards bankruptcy – what is know as a Section 114 Notice, which would see county councillors removed from the running of the County Council.
Existing county councillors and senior county council employees have failed to address this perilous financial situation.
It is time for Reform to step in and Make Hertfordshire Great Again!
