Harpenden & Berkhamsted

  • Greenbelt preservation. Oppose local mass-scale housing development. I was quite involved in this and known to many. The plans were dropped but have since been amended so locals have to fight the same battle

  • Street lights between Tring and Tring station. This area is run by Albury parish. We have many pointless lights elsewhere (for example on the road from Tring to Aston-Clinton hill). 1000s of people cycle to Tring station every day from Tring and have to do it in darkness

  • Encourage cycling to school. Tring School (and others) have totally empty bike-sheds with traffic queues going to the school every morning.

  • Have access to Tesco via Memorial Gardens. The walk to Tesco is long whilst the actual distance is short if there was a route. It could be Memorial Gardens can be extended

  • There are known 'Drugs Hubs' in Tring.

  • Support for local businesses is lacking.

  • Local drop in centres for anyone struggling with mental health issues

  • There's a trend of security gates in housing developments which is not only unnecessary but is divisive to the surrounding community
